On November 6, 2025, at about 10:45 P.M., a fatal motor vehicle collision involving a motorcycle occurred in the Kaimuki area.
It was reported to the Honolulu Police Department, Traffic Division Vehicular Homicide Section, that a 23-year-old male motorcyclist was traveling eastbound on the H1 Freeway at a high rate of speed when he lost control and collided into the guardrail.
As a result of the collision, the 23-year-old male motorcyclist was ejected onto the roadway and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 23-year-old male motorcyclist was wearing a helmet at the time of the collision.
At this time, speed appears to be a contributing factor of this collision. It is unknown if drugs or alcohol is a contributing factor.
This the 74th Traffic Fatality on Oahu this year compared to 41 at the same time in 2024.
The investigation is ongoing.
