On October 3, 2020, at about 1:00 pm, the Traffic Division’s Vehicular Homicide Section was notified of a single vehicle Motor vehicle collision that occurred in the Wahiawa area on Kamehameha Highway.

A black BMW, driven by a 21-year-old male, was traveling south on Kamehameha Hwy, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle left the roadway on the east side of Kamehameha Hwy. The lone occupant of the BMW was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Speed appears to be a factor in this collision and it is unknown if drugs or alcohol were factors.

This is the 39th traffic fatality for 2020 compared to 40 fatalities at the same time from 2019.
