On Friday, January 8, 2021, at approximately 11:41 a.m., a single Moped Collison occurred on N. Nimitz Hwy, Westbound , in Honolulu. A 42 year old male operator of a KYMCO moped was traveling westbound on Nimitz Hwy. when he lost control and collided with a metal street light.

This is the 3rd traffic fatality in 2021 compared to 0 at the same time in 2020.
