A motor vehicle collision occurred on January 12, 2022 at around 0639 hours in the Kaneohe area.  The collision involved one Motorcycle and one Pedestrian.  An 18 year old Kaneohe woman was crossing the street when she was struck by a Motorcycle.  The woman was not in a marked crosswalk at the time of the collision.  The woman was taken to The Queen’s Medical Center in Serious Condition.  The Motorcycle fled the scene after the collision and remains unknown at this time.    

At this time it appears that speed may have been a factor in the collision, while it remains unknown if alcohol, and drugs were factors in the collision.
