On June 3, 2025, at about 10:54 A.M., a serious motor vehicle collision involving a motorcyclist occurred on Kamehameha IV Road near Aoao Street in the Kalihi area.
It was reported to the Honolulu Police Department, Traffic Division, Vehicular Homicide Section that a 43-year-old male motorist was attempting to turn left from Aoao Street onto Kamehameha IV Road when he collided with a 21-year-old male motorcyclist who was traveling northbound on Kamehameha IV Road.
As a result of the collision, the 21-year-old male motorcyclist was ejected onto the roadway.
The 21-year-old male motorcyclist was transported to an area hospital in serious condition. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the collision.
The 43-year-old male motorist remained at the scene and was not injured as a result of the collision.
At this time, neither speed, drugs, nor alcohol appear to be a contributing factor of this collision.
