On March 31, 2026, at about 10:15 P.M., a motor vehicle collision occurred on Farrington Highway eastbound, in the Waianae area.
It was reported to the Honolulu Police Department, Traffic Division, Vehicular Homicide Section, that A 57-year-old female pedestrian was crossing Farrington Highway in a marked crosswalk against the red palm, near the intersection of Waianae Valley Road, when the 57-year-old female pedestrian was struck by an unknown vehicle that continued traveling eastbound on Farrington Highway without stopping to render aid or provide information.
As a result of the collision, the 57-year-old female pedestrian was transported via Emergency Medical Services to an area hospital in serious condition.
At this time, speed does not appear to be a contributing factor in this collision. It is unknown if drugs or alcohol is a contributing factor in this collision.
The investigation is ongoing.
