On August 1, 2022, at about 3:35 AM, a hit and run motor vehicle collision, involving a pedestrian, occurred in the area of Wilikina Drive, North of Kamananui Road, in the Wahiawa area.

It was reported to the Honolulu Police Department, Traffic Division, Vehicular Homicide Section, that a 50-year-old adult male pedestrian was walking northbound on Wilikina Drive, along the roadway, when he was struck by an unknown motorist who has yet to be identified.

As a result of the collision, the 50-year-old male pedestrian was transported via Emergency Medical Services to an area hospital in serious condition.

At this time, it is unknown if speed, drugs, or alcohol is a contributing factor in this collision.
