On 10-2-2020, at about 2110 hours, a serious Motor Vehicle Collision occurred in the Honolulu area involving a vehicle and three motorcyclists.

The vehicle was traveling in the westbound direction on the H1 Freeway before the Ward Avenue overpass when he intentionally swerved into the lane occupied by the motorcycles. The three motorcycles crashed and the riders were ejected. The suspect vehicle then fled in the Westbound direction on the H1 Freeway. One of the motorcyclists was taken to the Queen’s Medical Center in Serious Condition.

At this point, Speed does not appear to be a contributing factor in this collision. It is unknown if drugs or alcohol are factors.

The investigation is on-going.
