On November 1, 2020, at about 2324 hours, the Traffic Divisions Vehicular Homicide Section was notified of a Critical Pedestrian MVC that occurred in the Honolulu area.
At about 2247 hours, a red Mazda sedan, operated by a 20-year-old female, was traveling east on N. Vineyard Boulevard near Nuuanu Avenue, when an unidentified male pedestrian walked into the roadway and into the path of the vehicle.
The unidentified adult male was taken to an area hospital and was listed as being in Critical but stable condition.
The adult female operator of the vehicle was uninjured and remained at the scene.
At this time, neither speed, alcohol, nor drugs appear to be a contributing factor in this collision.
The investigation is ongoing.
