On July 5, 2020, at about 01:45 A.M., a critical motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian occurred near Farrington Highway and Lahilahi Street in the Waianae area.

An unidentified vehicle described as possibly a dark-colored van was traveling westbound on Farrington Highway when it veered onto the shoulder and collided into a pedestrian a 42-year-old female walking alongside the westbound shoulder of Farrington Highway

The 42-year-old female was taken to an area hospital in critical condition where she currently remains.

At this time, speed does not appear to be a contributing factor. It is unknown if drugs or alcohol were contributing factors.
