On Wednesday, September 02, 2020, at about 3:23 p.m., a Major Motor Vehicle Collision occurred in the Kapolei area involving a vehicle and a moped.

A Hyundai sedan operated by a 28 year old male, was traveling southbound on Kualakai Parkway, when it was struck by a moped at the intersection of Farrington Highway.

The operator of the Hyundai sedan was uninjured and remained at the scene.

The moped, operated by a 62 year old male, was not wearing a helmet. He was transported to an area hospital in Critical condition.

Speed does not appear to be a factor in this collision. It is unknown if drugs or alcohol were factors.
