On September 25, 2021, at approximately 0511 hours, a single motor vehicle collision occurred involving four occupants on Paakea Road in Waianae.

A 20-year-old male operating a Ford truck was traveling eastbound on Paakea Road when the driver lost control of the vehicle and veered off the road and collided with a wooden pole, continues into an embankment, causing the vehicle to roll over.

A juvenile male occupant was transported to a hospital in critical condition with head and body injuries.

Speed appears to be a contributing factor in this MVC.
