UPDATE
On August 22, 2021, The Honolulu Police Department’s Traffic Division / Vehicular Homicide Section was notified that the 54-year old Kaneohe male motorcyclist who was involved in a critical motor vehicle collision on August 7, 2021, had succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at an area hospital.

On August 7, 2021, at about 1235 hours, a 54 year old male was operating a Harley
Davidson motorcycle, was traveling westbound on Kaneohe Bay Drive with a group of motorcycle riders. The male attempted to overtake another motorcycle on the right when for unknown reason lost control and collided with a rock wall.
The male was a lone occupant and was transported to an area hospital in critical condition with possible head injuries.
Speed, alcohol, or drugs does not appear to be contributing factors.
The investigation is on-going.
