A serious motor vehicle collision occurred on April 25, 2021 at around 0708 hours in the Ewa Beach area.  The collision involved a pickup truck and a bicycle with one rider.  Unit 1, a pick-up truck was traveling east on Hanakahi St. and overtaking another vehicle when it collided with the Unit 2 bicyclist.  The bicycle rider, a 38 year old man was traveling west on Hanakahi St. at the time.  As a result of the collision the bicyclist was taken to The Queen’s Medical Center in Critical Condition. The pickup truck immediately fled the scene without rendering aid. 

At this time, speed appears to be a contributing factor in the collision while it remains unknown if alcohol, or drugs were factors in the collision.
