On November 25, 2020, at about 7:25 pm, the Traffic Divisions VHS was notified by District 8 Patrol that a Critical Motor Vehicle collision had occurred in the Makaha area.
On November 25, 2020, at about 7:00 pm a white Ford sedan, being operated by a 66 year old male, was headed westbound on Farrington Highway near Lahilahi St, when he collided with a 62 year old male that was walking in the roadway.
The male pedestrian was taken to an area hospital and was listed as being in Critical condition. The male was not within a marked crosswalk.
The operator of the vehicle remained at the scene and was not injured.
Speed, alcohol or drugs do not appear to be factors in this collision on the part of the driver of the vehicle.
It is unknown if they were factors on the part of the pedestrian.
The investigation is on going.
