On April 5, 2026, at about 10:40 AM, a critical motor vehicle collision, involving a motorcycle, occurred on Fort Weaver Road in the Ewa Beach area.
It was reported to the Honolulu Police Department, Traffic Division, Vehicular Homicide Section, that an adult male motorcyclist who has yet to be identified, was traveling northbound on Fort Weaver Road and rear ended a 28-year-old male motorist who was slowing down for a parked and unoccupied vehicle in the right shoulder.
As a result of the collision, the adult male motorcyclist was ejected onto the roadway and subsequently transported to an area hospital in critical condition.
The male motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet at the time of the collision.
At this time, speed, drugs, or alcohol do not appear to be a contributing factor of this collision.
The investigation is ongoing.
