On April 4, 2026, at about 4:36 PM, a critical motor vehicle collision, involving a motorcycle, occurred on Old Fort Weaver Road in the Ewa Beach area.
It was reported to the Honolulu Police Department, Traffic Division, Vehicular Homicide Section, that a 30-year-old male motorcyclist was traveling southbound on Old Fort Weaver Road at a high rate of speed, when it lost control negotiating a turn, traveled to the right of the roadway, and up a raised embankment.
As a result of the collision, the 30-year-old male motorcyclist was ejected onto the embankment and subsequently transported to an area hospital in critical condition.
The 30-year-old male motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet at the time of the collision.
At this time, speed appears to be a contributing factor of this collision. It is unknown if drugs or alcohol are contributing factors of this collision.
The investigation is ongoing.
