On June 27, 2026, at about 10:19 P.M., a critical motor vehicle collision involving an E-Motorcycle occurred on South King Street in the McCully area.
It was reported to the Honolulu Police Department, Traffic Division, Vehicular Homicide Section, that a 17-year-old male motorcyclist was traveling westbound on South King Street when he was struck by an unidentified female motorist, that executed a left turn from South King Street into the driveway of 2646 South King Street. An unidentified female operator exited the vehicle to briefly check on the motorcyclist before leaving the scene traveling westbound on South King without rendering aid or providing information.
As a result of the collision, the 17-year-old male motorcyclist was transported via Emergency Medical Services to an area hospital in critical condition.
The 17-year-old male motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet at the time of the collision.
The vehicle involved was later located parked and unattended but the operator of the vehicle remains unknown at this time.
At this time, it is unknown if speed, drugs, or alcohol is a contributing factor of this collision.
