The Narcotics Unit’s mission is to identify, arrest, and eliminate drug trafficking organizations and individuals who control drug operations. The one major concern of the Police department has been the steady increase of drug related crimes.

The Narcotics Division is charged with the suppression of illegal possession, manufacture, and distribution of controlled substance. To counter the threat of illegal narcotics-related violence and the Narcotics Division has developed multifaced strategies and initiatives targeting and attacking levels of this complex problem. The suppression of such narcotics activity is accomplished through proactive investigations utilizing intelligence gathering capabilities, surveillance, confidential informants and undercover operations.
