On December 27, 2025, at about 3:15 P.M., a serious motor vehicle collision involving a bicyclist occurred on Catlin Lane in the Salt Lake area.

It was reported to the Honolulu Police Department, Traffic Division, Vehicular Homicide Section, that an unidentified female motorist was traveling westbound on Catlin Lane when she struck a juvenile male bicyclist that was traveling in the roadway.

The unidentified female motorist subsequently left the scene traveling westbound on Catlin Lane without stopping to render aid or provide information.

As a result of the collision, the juvenile bicyclist was transported via Emergency Medical Services to an area hospital in serious condition.

The juvenile bicyclist was not wearing a helmet at the time of the collision.

At this time, speed, drugs, or alcohol do not appear to be a contributing factor of this collision.
