On March 3, 2022, at about 9:00 PM, a critical hit-and-run motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian occurred in the area of Farrington Highway and Makaha Valley Road in the Waianae area.
It was reported to the Honolulu Police Department, Traffic Division, Vehicular Homicide Section that a 67-year-old male pedestrian was attempting to cross Farrington Highway outside of a marked crosswalk when he was struck by an unknown motorist who has yet to be indentified.
The unknown motorist was last seen traveling eastbound on Farrington Highway, possibly operating a dark-colored older model Honda Civic.
As a result of the collision, the 67-year-old male pedestrian was taken to an area hospital and is in critical condition.
