**On 11-20-2021, at about 1330 hours, the Medical Examiner’s Office called the Vehicular Homicide Section to inform us that the pedestrian involved in this collision had died from the injuries he sustained from this collision.**
On November 20, 2021, at about 7:54 a.m., a critical major motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian occurred in the parking lot of Pearl Kai Shopping Center in the Aiea area.
On November 20, 2021, at about 7:54 a.m., a 50-year-old Honolulu female was traveling eastbound on the parking lot of Pearl Kai Shopping Center when she collided with a 60-year-old pedestrian that was crawling on his hands and feet.
As a result of the collision, the 60-year-old male pedestrian was taken to Queens Hospital in critical condition.
At this time, neither speed, drugs, nor alcohol appear to be contributing factors of this collision for Unit 1. Alcohol was possibly a contributing factor for the pedestrian. The investigation is ongoing.
