Recently, Chiefs Office has approved Person to Person Speaker Requests; however, Command from each Districts/Divisions has final decision to accommodate speaker requests or Ride-A-Long requests due to civilian & officers safety, personnel staffing, scheduling, etc…approved on a case by case basis. Online/Virtual presentations will still be available and highly recommended. It is the Districts/Division responsibility to make contact with requestor or rider to notify approved or not approved, scheduling, finalizing particulars person to person or virtual requests/rider background check by district/division.
The Community Affairs Division’s – Speakers Bureau processes requests for department speakers on a variety of law enforcement-related topics and services.

- Neighborhood Security Watch – Involves community participation and involvement in a self-help cooperative battle against crime.
- Operation ID – Helps to take the profit out of burglaries and other thefts by making the stolen property easier to identify and harder to sell.

- Keiki ID/Print Program – Helps parents/guardians collect and save information on their children. This information may be vital if a child is lost or abducted.
- “Say Hi” program (static displays and display of police equipment, vehicles, or abilities)
- Community Traffic Awareness Program (CTAP) – An organized sign-waving event that sends the message to motorists that neither the police nor the community will tolerate unnecessary traffic injuries.
- Police Activities League (PAL) – Developing and maintaining various sports and activities for children.
- Ride-Along Program – Aims to promote and improve mutual understanding of police and community problems.
Requests for Service
Speaker requests and other services may be requested by contacting the Community Affairs Division or using the online form below.
We recommend that requests be submitted at least four weeks before the date of the event, BUT NO MORE THAN 4 MONTHS IN ADVANCE. We will do our very best and try to accommodate each request. However, we cannot make any guarantees due to overlapping requests or emergency cancellations. Also, please provide us with a local contact number.
Special Requests
Special requests for other topics or services may be arranged. Each will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
