@honolulupd doesn’t just serve and protect with aloha, it’s our responsibility to make our island a better place to live and work. We believe that investing in the future of our keiki could lead to a brighter tomorrow for all of us. 🌺
The Honolulu Police Department’s Police Activities League (PAL) organizes various sports and activities, encouraging teamwork, discipline and good sportsmanship. Youth recently hit the mats in the first annual PAL Judo Invitational.
HPD’s D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) Unit helps kids choose to avoid drugs and violence. Officers are currently undergoing certification to be instructors to help guide students down a good path.
The department’s Community Policing Teams (CPT) regularly visit schools and lead community-based projects, like working with Mililani High School students to restore a pedestrian tunnel near their campus.
