Community Policing Team

The District 7 Community Policing Team is dedicated to building partnerships with our community to identify local problems and to work with them to find the most effective solution. In line with Chief Louis Kealoha's safer roads initiative, the CPT conducts an operation known as C-TAP (Community-Traffic Awareness Partnership) with the assistance of our business and community members by waving signs to slow traffic where high volumes of speeding complaints are generated. We educate parents to create a safer environment for our keiki in the vehicle by providing child restraint safety seat installation and instruction through an operation known as K.I.S.S. (Keikis in Safety Seats). The team continues to build partnerships with our senior citizen groups to make our roads safer for our kupuna by providing pedestrian and vehicle safety tips.

For further information regarding any of the programs listed above, please call 808-723-3352 to speak to the Community Policing Sergeant.
