Over the weekend, the Honolulu Police Department’s Community Affairs Division hosted a P.A.L. Boxing Showcase featuring numerous local clubs. This family event was filled with fun and excitement. The Law Enforcement Explorers offered shave ice, cotton candy, and organized engaging games like a football toss.
The Traffic Division showcased their Solo Bike officers with their sleek two-wheel rides, while the Specialized Services Division displayed their tactical vehicle. Additionally, the Major Events Division presented their emergency management command truck. All of these pre-show activities set the stage for the main event, where O‘ahu keiki of all ages demonstrated their heart and determination in the ring, supported by coaches, family, and friends.
These young athletes train hard every day, showing discipline and dedication. Despite the inevitable losses and setbacks that accompany any sport, they persevere and continue to work even harder. The Honolulu Police Department embraces its responsibility as an active stakeholder in our communities. When our community thrives, we all thrive.
