On September 28, 2026, this case was conferred with the Department of the Prosecuting Attorney. The 15-year-old suspect was charged with Attempted Murder in the First Degree; three counts of Attempted Murder in the Second Degree; three counts of Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Separate Felony; Place to Keep; and Theft in the First Degree.

The juvenile suspect is being held, and petitions have been filed in Family Court.
 
HPD previously reported that on September 19, 2026, at approximately 2:30 a.m., officers responded to a shooting in the parking lot near the Hālawa Housing area on Kohomua Street.

On September 25, 2026, at 8:35 p.m., the District 3 Crime Reduction Unit arrested the suspect for Attempted Murder in the First Degree and three counts of Attempted Murder in the Second Degree.
