Through investigation, the suspect, an 18-year-old male, was positively identified. On Aug. 27, 2026, around 12:59 p.m., District 8 Crime Reduction Unit officers located the suspect and placed him under arrest for Robbery in the Second Degree.

Charges are being sought with the Department of the Prosecuting Attorney.

As previously reported, District 8 patrol officers initiated a robbery case that occurred Monday, Aug. 24, 2026, at approximately 11:40 p.m. in a Kapolei mall parking lot.

A 22-year-old man was approached by a male suspect who pushed and kicked him while taking his personal property.

The suspect displayed the handle of a black handgun before fleeing on foot.

The victim was not injured.
