On June 10, 2026, just before 3:30 p.m., District 5 patrol officers responded to a disturbance in the Liliha area involving a 32-year-old, later linking him to a nearby incident on Nalanui Street where a 70-year-old male was found severely injured.
Both individuals were transported to an area hospital, where the suspect was initially arrested for second-degree attempted murder. Following the elderly victim’s death later that evening, the case was reclassified as murder.
The case was conferred with the Department of the Prosecuting Attorney. Based on the investigation, the suspect was charged via a warrant of arrest for Murder in the Second Degree.
Bail has been set at $500,000.
