October 29, 2025

HONOLULU – The Honolulu Police Department (HPD) will offer a walk-in testing opportunity for individuals interested in joining the department as a metropolitan police recruit (MPR) or police services officer (PSO), also known as the Cadet Program.

The event is scheduled at Mililani High School on Saturday, Nov. 1, 2025. Applicants can apply online in advance or simply show up on the day of the event. A police entrance exam study guide is available online.

WHEN: Saturday, Nov. 1, 2025

WHERE: Mililani High School

CHECK-IN: 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. — Testing will begin promptly at 9 a.m.

Applicants should arrive early with all required documents. HPD personnel will direct arrivals to the check-in area.

“This is a great opportunity for anyone considering a career in law enforcement,” said Human Resources Division Major Parker Bode. “We want to make the process as accessible as possible.”
