On August 18, 2026, around 4:30 p.m., HPD executed a search warrant on an illegal gambling type game room on Palailai Street in Kapolei, resulting in the seizure of multiple gaming machines and cash.

HPD’s Narcotics/Vice Gambling Detail, with the assistance of District 8 Crime Reduction Unit, Forfeiture Detail, Airport Operations Group and Specialized Services Division, recovered 11 gaming machines and more than $9,000 in cash, which were submitted into evidence. A 49-year-old female was arrested for Promoting Gambling in the Second Degree and Possession of a Gambling Device.

“These enforcement operations are focused on identifying and shutting down illegal gambling establishments, holding those responsible accountable and helping keep our communities safe,” said Maj. Jerome Pacarro of the Narcotics/Vice Division.
