On August 6, 2026, around 5:00 p.m., the Honolulu Police Department executed a search warrant on an illegal gambling room on Old Fort Weaver Road in Ewa Beach.
HPD’s Narcotics/Vice Division Gambling Detail, with assistance from the District 8 Crime Reduction Unit, Forfeiture Detail, Airport Operations Group, and Specialized Services Division, recovered 15 gaming machines and more than $2,700 in cash, all of which were submitted into evidence.
A 44-year-old male was arrested for Promoting Gambling in the Second Degree and Possession of a Gambling Device.
“These enforcement operations are an important part of our ongoing efforts to address illegal gambling,” said Maj. Jerome Pacarro of the Honolulu Police Department’s Narcotics/Vice Division. “Each shutdown not only disrupts an illegal operation but also provides valuable information that can help identify and investigate those responsible for organizing and profiting from these activities.”
To report illegal gambling activity, call the Narcotics/Vice Division’s 24-hour hotline at 808-723-3933 or use the department’s online reporting form: https://rb.gy/4066m5.
