On April 17, 2026, at approximately 12:55 a.m., District 1 patrol officers were investigating an Attempted Murder in the Second Degree that occurred at a bus stop on Ala Moana Boulevard.
A 43-year-old male got into an argument which escalated to a physical confrontation. The suspect stabbed the victim multiple times and fled on a BMX bicycle toward Waikiki.
The victim went to Ala Moana Center and flagged down security, who called 911. He was treated and transported to a nearby hospital.
The suspect was described to HPD as a Micronesian male in his 30s, medium build, no shirt, gray shorts, with a white sweater tied around his waist, and a fedora-style hat.
