District 8 patrol officers initiated a robbery case that occurred Monday, Aug. 24, 2026, at approximately 11:40 p.m. in a Kapolei mall parking lot.

A 22-year-old man was approached by a male suspect who pushed and kicked him while taking his personal property.

The suspect displayed the handle of a black handgun before fleeing on foot.

Witnesses described the suspect as a Polynesian male, approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall and 160 pounds. He was wearing a black tank top, black shorts and a black fanny pack.

The victim was not injured.
