On March 1, 2026, at approximately 10:08 p.m., a 55-year-old male was seated in his parked vehicle near Laau Street and Date Street when a suspect intentionally crashed a moped into his driver’s side door.
The suspect, described as a heavy-set male wearing a black mask, black hoodie, camouflage pants, and carrying a black backpack, pointed a handgun at the victim, struck him on the arm, and fled in the victim’s white 2021 Nissan Sentra.
The victim sustained minor injuries and declined medical treatment. A white Baodiao moped believed to be used by the suspect was recovered at the scene. Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or CrimeStoppers at (808) 955-8300.
