On September 14, 2026, at approximately 3:27 a.m., District 6 Patrol officers initiated an Attempted Murder in the Second Degree investigation at a hotel on Niu Street in Waikīkī.
Hotel security personnel located a man on the 24th floor suffering from multiple lacerations to his head and arms. The victim was transported and treated at the hospital.
A weapon believed to have been used in the incident was recovered at the scene.
The suspect is described as a heavyset Micronesian male who was last seen wearing a blue shirt over a gray tank top, jean shorts, a light-colored crossbody bag, and black shoes.
The suspect fled the area prior to officers’ arrival and has not been identified or located.
