On May 17, 2026, at approximately 2:11 a.m., District 1 patrol officers responded to reports of multiple gunshots fired following a large disturbance in the Kaka‘ako area near Ilaniwai Street and Ward Avenue.

Officers later learned that a 23-year-old male arrived at a nearby hospital with an apparent gunshot wound.

The suspect is described as an African American male wearing a light blue shirt and blue jeans who was seen leaving the area on a yellow motorcycle.
