Honolulu Police Department District 3 patrol officers are investigating an attempted murder involving a 15-year-old male who was shot early Saturday morning in Hālawa.
At approximately 2:30 a.m. on September 19, 2026, the victim and two other juvenile males were in the parking lot of the Hālawa Housing area on Kohomua Street when a vehicle entered the parking lot.
An unknown male dressed in black and wearing a ski mask exited a vehicle and approached the group. The suspect reportedly raised what appeared to be a handgun and fired multiple times, striking the 15-year-old victim.
The victim was treated and transported to an area hospital.
The suspect is described only as a male wearing all black clothing and a ski mask. The suspect vehicle is possibly a light-red, four-door sedan.
No arrests have been made at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
