On May 12, 2026, at approximately 10:40 p.m., District 5 patrol officers responded to a stabbing incident in the Rose Street area in Kalihi.
An argument between a man and his girlfriend escalated when the girlfriend’s 17-year-old son confronted the suspect.
The suspect then stabbed the teen during the altercation.
While EMS personnel were rendering aid to him, the victim became combative and assaulted an EMS worker.
He was then transported to the hospital for treatment where he was arrested for Assault in the Second Degree.
The 44-year-old suspect was arrested for Attempted Murder in the Second Degree.
The investigation remains ongoing.
