The Honolulu Police Department (HPD) assisted in a federal investigation that led to the sentencing of Bill Van Nguyen, a/k/a “Sau” a California drug trafficker involved in distributing and transporting methamphetamine and fentanyl to Hawaiʻi.
HPD’s Narcotic/Vice Division played a significant role in the investigation by conducting undercover operations and surveillance on Oʻahu. HPD task force officers also traveled to California to assist law enforcement partners with investigative operations.
“This case highlights the importance of strong partnerships in disrupting drug trafficking networks that threaten our communities,” said Major Jerome Pacarro. “HPD remains committed to working with our federal, state and local partners to keep dangerous drugs off our streets.”
