On May 13, 2026, at 8:00 p.m., HPD executed a search warrant on an illegal gambling-type game room on North King Street in Kalihi, resulting in the arrest of one individual and the seizure of multiple gaming machines and cash.
HPD’s Narco/Vice Gambling Detail, with the assistance of the District 5 Crime Reduction Unit, Forfeiture Detail and Specialized Services Division, recovered 12 gaming machines and more than $4,000 in cash.
During the course of the execution, HPD arrested a 26-year-old male for Promoting Gambling in the Second Degree and Possession of a Gambling Device. The arrest was made without incident.
“The purpose of our operations is not only to shut down illegal gambling activity, but to also prevent the associated criminal elements that often accompany these operations from impacting our communities,” said Maj. Jerome Pacarro of the Narcotics/Vice Division. “HPD remains committed to addressing illegal gambling operations that negatively impact the safety and quality of life in our communities.”
