Chief Vanic Inspects the Central Receiving Division

Last week, Interim Chief Rade Vanic and HPD leadership conducted an inspection of officers assigned to the Central Receiving Division 👮‍♂️👮‍♀️. These inspections help assess each officer’s operational readiness, from uniforms to equipment, and offer a valuable chance for leadership and officers to connect face to face.

The HPD Central Receiving Division is responsible for accepting, processing, and short-term detaining individuals who have been arrested and are either under investigation or unable to make bail. The division also operates HPD’s main cellblock, ensures the security of the Alapaʻi Headquarters, and carries out additional responsibilities essential to department operations.
