On December 9, 2025, at about 12:20 a.m., District 6 patrol officers responded to a disturbance on Kūhiō Avenue which resulted in an HPD officer sustaining injuries.
The 35-year-old male (corrected age from previous statement) suspect was taken into custody and transported to an area hospital for an evaluation. After being released, officers placed him under arrest for Attempted Murder, and a $20,000 warrant.
