The Honolulu Police Department (HPD) and the Department of Law Enforcement (DLE) have reopened all roadways, as well the Hawaiʻi State Capitol, following an earlier evacuation. There is no threat to the public, and the planned protest is moving back to the Capitol.
At approximately 9:50 a.m., Honolulu Police assisted state sheriffs with the evacuation of the Hawaiʻi State Capitol after DLE canine units and the HPD Special Services Division responded to a possible explosive in the area.
