On December 11, 2025, at approximately 11:30 p.m., District 3 patrol officers responded to a murder that occurred in the Hālawa housing complex in the Salt Lake area.

A 19-year-old male victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds near Salt Lake Boulevard and Kamehameha Highway and was treated and transported to a hospital where he later died from his injuries.

Investigation indicates that three suspects, all wearing black clothing and black face coverings, were involved. The suspects were observed exiting a light-colored, four-door vehicle on Salt Lake Boulevard and Kamehameha Highway when one of them shot the victim multiple times as the victim was running into the housing complex.

One suspect was observed carrying a handgun, a second suspect was observed carrying a long gun, and a third suspect was also observed carrying a handgun.

The suspects fled on Salt Lake Boulevard towards the Stadium following the incident.

The investigation remains ongoing.
