HONOLULU — On Sept. 25, 2025, at about 10:23 a.m., District 6 patrol officers responded to Ena Road regarding a complaint from a 44-year-old man.
After confirming his identity, officers recognized him as a wanted suspect in connection with several unrelated crimes. When officers informed the man that he was under arrest, he attempted to flee.
During the apprehension, officers used force to detain him, and the suspect bit an officer on the forearm, causing an open laceration. The injured officer self-transported to a nearby hospital, where he was treated and listed in good condition.
The suspect was arrested on suspicion of assault on a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest, and eight counts of misuse of 911. He was treated at the scene for exposure to OC spray.
Charges will be referred to the Department of the Prosecuting Attorney.
