Cold Cases

In 2018, the HPD launched the A’ole Poina (Never Forgotten) project to review all of its cold cases dating back to the 1960s. Anyone with information about a case is asked to contact the HPD’s Cold Case Unit. You can also contact Honolulu CrimeStoppers to remain anonymous.

Carol Drake

Carol Drake, a 56-year-old female, was discovered dead in her Wahiawa business.
Mildred Gumbo, a 25-year-old female.

Mildred Gumbo, a 25-year-old female, was discovered along the roadside near Heeia Kea Pier. Reports indicate that she had been assaulted and strangled.
Donald Hilton, a 32-year-old male

Donald Hilton

Donald Hilton, a 32-year-old male, was found dead in his Waikiki apartment. Reports indicate Hilton was beaten to death.

Donny Gouveia

Donny Gouveia, a 19-year-old male, was discovered along the shore near Magic Island. Reports indicate that Donny was assaulted and died from his injuries.
David L. Walden, a 51-year-old male

David L. Walden

David L. Walden, a 51-year-old male, was found dead in the parking lot of 711 N. Nimitz Highway. Reports indicate that he was shot to death.
