HPD Shuts Down Illegal Gambling Operation on Date Street in McCully

Honolulu Police Department officers executed a search warrant at an illegal gambling establishment on Thursday, March 5, resulting in the arrest of one individual, along with the seizure of multiple gaming machines, cash, possible illicit drugs, and drug-related paraphernalia. The Narcotics/Vice Division, with assistance from the District 7 Crime Reduction Unit, and the Specialized Services Division, recovered 13 gambling machines along with more than $2,000 in cash. A 53-year-old male was arrested for Promoting Gambling in the Second Degree and Possession of a Gambling Device. The arrest was made without incident.
