The human skeletal remains recovered on the campus of Mid-Pacific Institute in January 2026 have been examined by Forensic Anthropologist Dr. Robert Mann. Based on the preliminary examination, the remains appear to be ancient and not associated with any recent death.
Initial findings suggest the location may have historically been used as a burial site many years ago.
The human skeletal remains will now be further reviewed by the Department of Land and Natural Resources – State Historic Preservation Division, which handles cases involving possible historic or archaeological remains.
