On January 23, 2026, at approximately 12:55 p.m., two male suspects committed a gunpoint robbery at a convenience store located at 1530 Makaloa Street.
The suspects entered the store and confronted a 32-year-old employee. Witnesses described one of the suspects as a Polynesian male, approximately 6’1” tall and 300 pounds. The suspect was wearing a red T-shirt and khaki pants, brandished a black handgun and demanded money.
Witnesses described the second suspect as a local male, approximately 5’10” tall and 150 pounds, wearing a black sweater over a red shirt and black pants. The suspect lifted his sweater to reveal a handgun tucked into his waistband while assisting in the robbery.
After demanding additional property, the suspects fled the area in a gray-colored sedan with unknown license plates, traveling in an unknown direction.
The victim was not injured. This investigation remains ongoing.
